Lesleigh Thompson

Lesleigh Thompson (AMusA, BMus, MMus) is a postgraduate-qualified musician with more than 30 years' experience in music education. She believes that a challenging but positive mentoring approach brings out the best in students — a philosophy reflected in the consistently high standard of results her students achieve. Alongside private tuition in Pianoforte, over the course of her career Lesleigh has taught Flute and Music Theory at Loreto College, lectured in Music Theory and Composition at the Faculty of Music at the University of Melbourne, and examined for the Australian Music Examinations Board. She is the recipient of several national awards for composition and was selected for inclusion in the 16th Edition of the International Who's Who of Music and Musicians. Today, her specialisation remains with her first love — the piano.
